Description
This is the only submarine dive experience offered in Australia. Launching from the main beach on Fitzroy Island, the pilot will take you on an amazing dive experience, submerging down approximately 6+ metres under the surface to explore the Great Barrier Reef. You can expect a very personal experience, with the submarines carrying a maximum of 2 customers alongside the pilot. With no previous dive experience required and no need to be a strong swimmer, all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the view. You do not need to wear a mask or breathing equipment inside the submarine, so you are free to chat throughout the dive, with the pilot offering some interesting and amusing facts about the things you see. Clown Fish (Nemo), Lion Fish, Sting Ray and Turtles are among the many thing you can expect to see. Minimum age 12.
Fitzroy Island is a 45 minute senic cruise from Cairns with Sunlover Reef Cruises, they operate an air-conditioned catarmaran, which departs daily from theCairns Reef Fleet Terminal. There are many other activities available to fill your day on this beautiful island, with kayaking, snorkelling and aqua jets all bookable on the island, there are also some diverse rainforest walks up to the lighthouse, or just relax on one of the secluded beaches.

What to bring:

A Medical Form is to be completed on the day.
If you suffer from any of the following please obtain medical approval to dive before booking:
-Have you suffered from asthma in the past 10 yrs?
-Epilepsy?
-Do you take blood pressure medication, in the form of BETA blockers?
-Tuberculosis?
-Collapsed Lung?
-Heart Disease?
-Ear surgery or perforated eardrum?
-Chest Surgery
Session Length
Approximately 30 mins underwater time.
Numbers on the day
Maximum of 2 customers in the submarine.
Groups will dive 2 at a time, at given time slots.
Weather Exceptions
Contact operator in case of bad weather. If we cancel operations due to bad weather, there will be an option to reschedule, or a full refund will be given.
