A further 5 minutes takes you into the heart of the CBD & on to the Pier Market Place and the Reef Fleet Terminal. Alternatively a 30 minute walk via the waterfront, with it's lagoon and massive childrens play area will also take you to the 'Pier'. In the opposite direction (North along McLeod St)abouit 15 mins walk to the Tropical Botanic Gardens.

Within a short walk in all directions are a number of fine restaurants, cafes, takeaway facilities as well as a couple of popular pubs. Full banking, postal, medical, pharmaceutical facilities are also to be found within a couple of blocks radius.
